Jay Lively to Run Boston Marathon to Benefit Wings for Falmouth Families

Jay Lively

Boston, Falmouth, April 2005. On April 18, 2005, Jay Lively, owner of Rent-A-Son, in North Falmouth, will be running the Boston Marathon to benefit Wings for Falmouth Families (WFFF). Lively, a 1994 graduate of Falmouth High School, has run six previous marathons, and is eager to put his efforts to work for a local organization.

"When a family is going through a hardship, they shouldn't have to worry about paying bills and putting food on the table," explains Lively. "And it's nice to have an organization that's for people who live and work in the community."

Lively, the son of Ellen and John Lively of North Falmouth, graduated from Bates College in Maine, and started his business, a full-service estate and property management company, in 2000. The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce recently announced that it has awarded Rent-A-Son its 2005 Score Small Business Award.

WFFF is a non-profit organization set up through the Cape Cod Community Foundation. Donations should be made payable to Wings for Falmouth Families and can be mailed to either the Community Foundation of Cape Cod, P.O. Box 406, Yarmouthport, Ma 02675, or to Lisa Deyo Asendorf, c/o PO Box 1875, North Falmouth, Ma 02556.

May 4, 2005 update from Lisa Asendorf: Jay's efforts have raised $1500! Jay is such a caring, generous person who makes a difference in our community. We feel so fortunate that he chose to represent WFFF. Anything Jay does, he does with his whole heart.
